Caerphilly County Borough Council – Education Technology & Associated Services (EdTech)

Caerphilly CBC, working in conjunction with the Welsh government and all twenty-two local authorities in Wales, have led the development of a single procurement channel via a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for local authorities to purchase technology products and associated services on behalf of their schools. The wider Welsh public sector can also access this DPS by way of further competition.

CAE can supply under the following lots:

  • Lot 2 – End User Devices

Crown Commercial Service – RM3808 – Network Services 2

A framework for the provision of telecommunications and network services, suitable for all public sector organisations.

CAE can supply under the following lots:

  • Lot 1 – Data Access Services
  • Lot 2 – Local Connectivity Services
  • Lot 5 – IP Telephony Services
  • Lot 10 – Unified Communications
  • Lot 13 – Contact Centre Services

Under the framework there are 2 different procurement options available – direct award, or for more complex customer requirements, further competition.

Crown Commercial Service – RM6100 – Technology Services 3

The Technology Services 3 framework enables any Public Sector customer to procure ICT services across the entire lifecycle; from strategy through to transition and operational deployment.

The new agreement builds on the success of the Technology Services 2 (TS2) framework, adding refinements to the Lots and making it easier and more efficient for customers to procure IT services.

TS3 launched in July 2021 and runs for 4 years. Call-off contract durations can be from 2 to 7 years. The framework allows either direct award or further competition, depending on the customer’s requirements.

  • Lot 3c – Operational Services – Technical Management

Crown Commercial Service – RM6068 – Technology Products & Associated Services (TePAS)

TePAS offers public sector buyers a flexible and compliant way to source all their technology product needs. Now in its third generation, this is the first iteration of the Technology Products framework to have Associated Services in its scope.

CAE can supply under the following lots:

Crescent Purchasing Consortium – ICT Networking & Storage Solutions

This agreement for ICT Networking & Storage Solutions has been structured to offer a complete solution for Networking & Storage services for schools, colleges, academies/academy trusts and universities.

Designed for the education sector, but also open to any Public Sector organisation, it offers a flexible and fully compliant route to market including options to direct award or run a further competition.

We are an approved supplier under lot 1 which provides on-premise IT infrastructure including networking, storage, servers, back-up, archiving and security solutions alongside associated software and services.

Jisc – Network Equipment

Jisc have worked with London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC) to set up a framework agreement for the supply and support of network equipment to the education and research sectors. The scope of the agreement covers the supply and support of a broad range of wired and Wi-fi network equipment.

CAE can supply under the following lots:

  • Lot 5 – HPE/Aruba
  • Lot 7 – Palo Alto

North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium (NEUPC) – HE Networking, Supply & Services (HENSS)

The scope of the HENSS framework is for the provision of services and equipment which will include, but not be limited to, the supply, installation, storage, maintenance, and repair of networking equipment and networking consultancy provision. This framework consists of four lots to provide HE institutions with a complete provision of network equipment, network services and network consultancy.

CAE can supply under the following lots:

  • Lot 1 – Network Equipment only
  • Lot 2 – Small to Medium Networking Projects (<£1m)
  • Lot 3 – Large Networking Projects (>£1m)

NHS North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative (NOE CPC) – IT Enterprise Solutions

This framework has been formed to meet the demands of the latest developments in the NHS IT infrastructure market. It offers a compliant route to market for the NHS and wider public sector to purchase IT enterprise solutions including enterprise hardware, software, and services including hosting.

A flexible framework with a wide scope, it allows both ‘spot-buying’ via direct award as well as longer term strategic purchases.

CAE can supply under the following lots:

  • Lot 1 – Enterprise Hardware
  • Lot 2 – Enterprise Software
  • Lot 3 – Enterprise Services
  • Lot 5 – Enterprise Solutions

NHS Shared Business Services – Cloud Solutions

This framework allows the NHS, and other public sector organisations, to procure initial support ahead of cloud adoption/implementation, analysis/mapping of ‘as is’ situation, cloud readiness assessments, architecture design, migration planning and more.

CAE can supply under lot 1 – Solution Design & Consultancy. Our cloud specialists will work with you to understand your organisation’s objectives and will design a cloud-centric solution, mapping out in detail the path to achieve those goals.

The framework permits direct award, which can save you both time and money in procurement costs.

Scottish Procurement – Cloud Services

The scope of this single lot framework agreement is for the provision of cloud services, including private cloud, public cloud, community cloud and co-location services for the entire Scottish public sector.

It permits both direct award and further competition, allowing a flexible procurement approach.

Scottish Procurement – Digital Technology Services

This Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) will support and be an enabler for a number of digital initiatives, specifically Scotland’s Digital Strategy, ‘Realising Scotland’s full potential in a digital world’. It provides access to a range of digital technology skills, including cyber expertise, as well as supporting the delivery of agile projects.

A DPS is very similar to a framework agreement, with the main difference being that suppliers can apply to join at any time, and that direct award is not permitted.

CAE can supply our Cyber Security Services under lot 3.

Scottish Procurement – Telephony Services

This Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) allows Scottish public sector bodies easy access to a full range of telephony services, including IP telephony and enterprise level solutions which combine a variety of different technologies.

This DPS only permits further competition, and all call off transactions must be carried out electronically.

  • Lot 2 – IP Telephony
  • Lot 3 – Enterprise Bundled Services

Scottish Procurement – Network Advice

This single lot Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) provides vendor neutral network advice for Scottish Public Sector organisations seeking to develop, enhance and secure their network infrastructure.

This DPS only permits Further Competition and all Call Off transactions must be carried out electronically.

Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC) – Servers, Storage & Solutions National Agreement (SSSNA)

The SSSNA framework enables universities, higher education and further education colleges to purchase servers, storage and solutions, including converged infrastructure and end to end solutions. The framework streamlines the engagement process with the academic community, enabling projects to be delivered seamlessly ensuring the best possible customer outcomes are achieved.

Dell has appointed CAE as a nominated reseller on lot 2 of the SSSNA framework, alongside other partners. Lot 2 is for enterprise storage equipment including backup, maintenance renewals, management software and other storage related software (where part of a hardware requirement).

YPO – Network Connectivity & Telecommunication Solutions

This framework is for the provision of network connectivity and telecommunication solutions which has been developed from extensive public sector customer and supplier engagement, and is designed to meet the needs of all public sector organisations.

CAE can supply LAN Services under lot 2 where you have the flexibility to either direct award or run a further competition.
