Here’s what’s changed, what’s included, and how it could help your organisation.

1)    Copilot Studio - Now Included in MS365 Copilot Licences

From 1st September 2025, Copilot Studio is now part of the Microsoft 365 Copilot licence. That means users can start building and using AI-powered agents without needing extra licences or tools.

These agents can help automate internal processes, answer common questions, and support day-to-day tasks. You don’t need to be technical to get started—there’s a simple, no-code builder for business users, and a more advanced toolkit for developers.

How teams are using it:

  • HR teams are building agents to answer common employee questions about policies, leave, and onboarding
  • Legal and compliance teams are using Copilot Studio to automate routine tasks such as document reviews
  • Operations teams are streamlining internal workflows like approvals and status updates.
As more teams explore creative ways to use Copilot Studio—from streamlining internal workflows to enhancing employee onboarding—it’s also important to understand how usage is managed when these agents are customer-facing. For scenarios where agents interact with external users, such as website visitors or app users, Microsoft applies a usage-based billing model known as Copilot Credits. This ensures businesses only pay for what they use, making it a scalable and cost-effective solution for customer engagement.

2)    Role-Based Copilot Experiences

From the 10th of October 2025, Microsoft 365 Copilot users will also get access to tailored experiences for:
  • Sales: Copilot can surface opportunity insights, prep you for meetings, and help you stay on top of your pipeline—all from a personalised homepage
  • Legal & Compliance Teams: Copilot Studio enables legal teams to automate and streamline high-volume, high-risk tasks
  • Finance: Copilot brings ERP-connected data into Excel and Outlook, helping with account reviews, reporting, and task management
What this unlocks:
  • Sales reps can walk into meetings with instant summaries of customer history and deal progress.
  • Legal & Compliance teams can reduce bottlenecks and ensure faster, more consistent compliance support by unlocking automated document reviews, instant access to policy guidance, and risk flagging for expert escalation. Customer service agents can respond faster with AI-generated case summaries and suggested actions.
  • Finance teams can automate monthly reporting and get real-time insights into budgets and forecasts.

3)    Just Landed: Microsoft 365 Copilot – ScaleUp CSP Offer

On the 1st October 2025, Microsoft launched the ScaleUp CSP offer for select and existing SME&C customers transacting via CSP.

Eligible customers can receive:

  • 20% off Microsoft 365 Copilot with annual commitment / annual payment
  • Or 15% off with monthly payment (includes a 5% uplift)
