CAE and Dell Technologies set to support UK Higher Education Institutions

Partnering with Dell Technologies, CAE secures prestigious place on the SSSNA framework as trusted providers of hardware solutions to Higher Education institutions.

12 SEPTEMBER 2023, UK - CAE Technology Services Ltd (CAE), through its partnership with Dell Technologies, is pleased to announce it has secured its place on the Servers, Storage, and Solutions National Agreement (SSSNA).

Run by the Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC), the SSSNA framework streamlines the engagement process with the academic community – aiming to reduce IT procurement costs and time. It also includes soft services to support the delivery and implementation of technology devices and solutions.

SSSNA helps deliver value for money to students, staff and wider communities. Providing a compliant and responsible route for higher education institutions to procure cutting-edge and sustainable solutions that address data storage and management, cyber security and sustainability. It covers everything from servers, storage, and solutions to converged infrastructure and end-to-end solutions.

Selected by Dell for its specialist knowledge, outstanding technical abilities and proven understanding of the education sector, CAE now represents a select number of Dell resellers to higher education establishments for Lot 1 (Servers) and Lot 2 (Storage).

Justin Harling, CEO of CAE, said: “Our strategic partnership with Dell on the SSSNA framework means that we are better able to help improve learning for students, by enabling our education customers to benefit from the latest data centre technology solutions, such as Dell EMC PowerStore, Dell EMC PowerScale and Data Protection.”

“SSSNA is more than just a framework, it is a powerful tool that can help education institutions to uncover hidden insights and relationships within complex systems – leading to more informed decisions and better outcomes.”

“Competition is rife for higher education institutions to grab students’ attention, to provide them with cutting edge technology and first-rate experiences as they prepare to lead future innovations.

As we continue our long-standing relationship with Dell, we are proud to have been selected to represent them on the SSSNA framework as we work together to provide the next generation with the best educational experience possible.” added Justin

Lot 1 includes the supply of servers and associated options, including hybrid (on and off-premise options), maintenance renewals, management software and other software layers, as well as integration, support and maintenance.

Lot 2 includes the supply of storage hardware including virtual appliances and software-defined storage inclusive of backup solutions, software support, maintenance and warranty extensions.

“Focused on transforming people’s experiences and lives through technology, we are always looking at ways to better support our customers and provide them with inspiring experiences, in support of their digital transformation journeys. Being part of the SSSNA framework, in partnership with Dell, marks a great step forward in ensuring we can do this.” concluded Justin.

CAE works with both public and private sector bodies to deliver better outcomes and ‘more good days’. The company’s technology and services are currently being used to improve healthcare, raise standards in education, increase productivity for businesses, reduce government costs, and enhance the user experience for local authorities.
